New Mattress

We have a 2015 33RLDS. Very pleased with unit except for the mattress. "Jayco's Exclusive" mattress not very comfortable. Any suggestions what mattress would be a good choice?

Some people prefer a memory foam (2 or 3" and is usual on sale somewhere) over top others replace the whole mattress from a reputable retailer. Google for "RV mattress" and you will find some reputable manufactures. It is a personal choice and for comfort level you have to try it out yourself.

Now they call it "Jayco's Exclusive"? Our 2013 33RLDS it was called "upgraded Pillow top" and its horrible. If ours is the upgrade I hate to see the standard. lol. We got by using a topper but this spring I will spring for a Foam type mattress. I just have to decide on 8, 10 or 12 inches..

Fellow Michigander I also would recommend memory foam. Its a huge difference as long as you get at least 4 inches.

Our 2013 351RLTS came with a Denver mattress. We've been very pleased with it so far.

Can't be of help if you like inner spring mattresses because I'm done with them. We have a memory foam in the guest room and it's a little hard for me. We have a Comfortaire (like Sleep Number) in our bedroom and love it. It's a king, but we have a queen in the Eagle. Both have dual controls so we each control firmness that suits us. They make RV sizes, 72 x 80 and queens, one of which can be shorter, 76". They've been around longer than the big advertiser and are a tad less expensive, although far from cheap.

Same here with our 24RKS. We find the Denver mattress very comfortable, even after spending 14 straight nights on it.

Same here. With an air mattress you just express air so it fits.

The Pillow top in my trailer is the Denver and all that I added was a foam mattress pad and it is fantastic. I will cut mine to size this spring. I added two straps that keep it in place and it made all the difference.

We waited till our local furniture store had a sale, then ordered a special size. They charged a $20 special size fee. There was no freight because we waited 2 weeks for their normal to come in. We could pick from any brand they sold.

I added a 3" memory foam topper underneath the standard Denver mattress (it works just like a box spring), then added a 1" corrugated foam topper on top. It's the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on! The bare foam stays put on the wood platform, and the deep fitted sheet covers the whole thing. I also put a heated mattress pad on top and it keeps me toasty warm on cold nights, while saving a ton of money on propane. The struts would no longer hold the bed up when it was fully made, so (following the advise of a friend on this site), I moved them forward 4" top & bottom. Now all is good!

We bought a really sweet foam one at IKEA. It's a full queen and it sets on top of the stock short queen innerspring mattress in the trlr. Your feet wont hang off the end if you're a 6 footer or better. It's so comfortable, my wife made me buy the same one for the inside our house. It was about 300. She had disc damage from car accident and that's what it takes so she can sleep.

The Denver "Exclusive" mattress is a piece of crap in my opinion.I bought foam topper that was about 2" and it helped a little bit.I broke down and bought a new mattress from amazon from a company called Dreamfoam. It was $200 something shipped and very comfortable. It had great reviews and for the price I couldn't pass it up
