New owner of 2011 jayco 19bh

As of today i am a proud owner of a jayco jayflight 19bh. Just wondering if there is anything i need to know about these trailers? Any tips or tricks with the camper. Or just any info at all. Thanks in advance.

is there any kind of regular maintence i need to do?

Biggest thing you will see mentioned is regular maintenance of the roof. A leak can cause significant and often unrepairable problems. Sounds like you have purchased your used I am guessing since it is 2011? Make sure you get all of the manuals for your camper and accessories/appliances. They will outline what you should do on a regular basis. You will find many of them in my signature link (although some are 2009).

Other than that - keeping it clean, using and inspecting the systems on a regular basis should keep you going. Make sure you read through the water system and how to sanitize it every year - which will ensure you don't get a bad taste in your water.

When it gets winter time, a good cleaning and removing of all food will reduce mice. You will also get a lot of help here when that time comes to help you winterize!

As you think of specific questions, feel free to post away. You will likely get better responses if you post asking about single topics at a time. There are no stupid questions or flames here so ask away!

Thanks for the reply taf. Very useful info! i doubt ill have to worry about winterizing as i live in florida. Looking into buying a good cover for it. Should help it hold up in the florida sun.

Welcome to the forum! Check the trailer "box" stud bolts and nuts that mount your box to the actual trailer frame. My 22fb has about 12 and everyone of them were just finger tight, one nut was missing! Look for a 9/16" nut with locknut.

I too live in a warm winter place and dont do the PINK STUFF winterizing. I do however carry the city water CAMCO 36153 Brass Blowout Plug adapter and Q-Industries MV50 portable 12VDC tankless air compresor. I can blow-out the water system in a very short time period and then add a little pink stuff the sink drains if I get caught in a two or three day very cold area when camping.

The 12VDC air compressor also works great keeping air in the truck and trailer tires

I'm assuming that you bought a "used" trailer. As such, the first order of business that I can recommend is that you get your bearings inspected and lubed.
