New Thermostat

After 2 weekends waking up in the middle of the night cold, I just ordered a new coleman mach digital stat, the analog mach is going in the garbage, this stat cant keep heat for nothing, I had it set at 75f and woke up once and it was 46f inside, I had to turn it up to 90f to get the furnace to come on, I cant believe they put crap like this a 45k camper.

You may have another problem besides the thermostat also. We had a similar problem and I lay awake at night listening for the furnace to fire off. It tried to ignite for three tries and just shut down. Then the thermostat had to be turned off and then back on to restart. Sometimes would work and sometimes would not. Took a lot of trouble shooting. Also replaced the thermostat with a new digital but that did not fix the problem. If changing the thermostat does not fix yours, you could possibly also have a cracked igniter. That was our problem and furnace had to be pulled out to find it.

I had a similar issue with crap analog thermostat. The white ground wire was loose which when the heater kicked on and fan started it would vibrate enough to lose ground and thermo would kick out.Tightened that down and heater still would not run correctly,it would run great for a few minutes then shut the flame off then re start,it kept doing that over and over,it would take 30 minutes to warm trailer up 5 degrees. Long story short dealer pulled heater and bench tested and sail switch was bad, runs great now.I know have 2 electric space heaters in case this happens again

The furnace runs fine and fires on 1st attempt, but its like when we go to sleep, so does the stat, also, I am wondering, will the digital stat wire up just like the old one, they are both 6 wires, and both are coleman machs.

Just about two weeks ago I swapped out my old t'stat for a new digital one - both Colman Mach. I changed one wire at a time, matching color for color. No problems. Fortunately I also had lots of slack wire in the wall which made it easy.

It should wire right up color by color as long as you have the correct thermostat. Mine did
