New to the Forum and to Travel Trailers 28BHBE

My wife and I just bought a 2016 Jay Flight 28BHBE. This is our first foray into travel trailers. We looked at Keystone Springdale's and Forest River Evo's first but neither one had all the features we wanted. Each one had a few of the features we wanted but not all of them.

By chance we decided to stop at our local Jayco dealer and boy am I glad we did. The salesman showed us the 28BHBE because we wanted the second door into the bathroom and we were very impressed. Build quality compared to the other two brands seemed better and was backed up by a 2 year warranty instead of the standard 1 year warranty of the other two brands. And the best part was the Jayco had all the features that we wanted from the other two trailers combined.

We were able to get them down 27% from MSRP which I felt was a pretty reasonable deal considering it is right at the beginning of the season.

Our BHBE has the Elite Package and Thermal Package. It came optioned with the rear trailer hitch and the propane BBQ that attaches to the rear bumper.

The travel trailer will house my 2 and 3 year old boys, a 6 month old german shepherd, my wife and I. Can't wait to take it out on a maiden voyage.

Wow, awesome deal. It looks like you have the hide a bed also. What was the final cost after 27% off? this will help others get in tha ball park. Great camper!

The 28BHBE had an MSRP with options of $34,000. I paid $25,000 with weight distribution hitch/sway control bar included. Dealer said Hitch/Sway Control costs almost $500.00 installed. So essentially paid $24,500 for the trailer itself.

Yes, it has the tri-fold couch/hide a bed. Very nice setup as an adult or two can actually sleep on this couch.

Nice trailer!

We paid $24,XXX for ours as well, but the MSRP for ours was in the $31,XXX range if I remember correctly. We have the elite and thermal package as well.

I think you need to upgrade you tow vehicle, it looks to be a bit undersized

Congrats and welcome from Texas! Be sure to take that most important pair of items on your first trip... a pen and pad... to write down all the things you'll discover that you need to pick up!
