New water heater

I am wiring in a new Atwood 10-E water heater, with a new combo switch, into a 2000 Jayco Eagle. To finish the wiring I need to supply 12 volt positive line and a 12 volt negative from the converter to the combo switch. How do I go about bringing them in?

The negative usually just goes to the trailer frame.

The positive wire. You need to snoop for a routing. On my 23B I followed the water pipes, used a wire fish tape and connected a long nylon line to it, then I pulled the wire with the line. I connected to fuse panel in an unused slot.

Another option is to drill down through the floor and run the wire under the tt.

I have the 10-E. It works great and the 10 gal capacity provides plenty of hot water!

Finished!

Thank you for assisting me in my first venture into ac/dc. It was much simpler than I thought, but when I don't know questions are wise. A friend, who is an electrician, inspected my work and showed me how to make the dc connections. The water heater is working well. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!
