New White Hawk

All,

New to this forum.. just took delivery of a 17 WH 27 DSRL. As its still a little cold here in Northern CO. We have not had time to enjoy it yet.

This is our 3rd Jayco - (16 Ft , 19 RD Jay Flight)

A little bigger than I wanted as we dry camp a lot.. but with 3 dogs, seemed to be the best choice.

Cheers!

Congratulations on the White Hawk and welcome to the forum.

We lived in Ft.Collins YEARS ago and really liked the front range area & RMNP.

Our '15 27RLS has a floorplan like yours and we like it a lot. We boondock, too, and so far the size has not yet been a problem. Last year we spent several days at Dutch George CG in Poudre Canyon.

Congratulations on the new White Hawk and welcome from the land of Oz. We purchased our 2017 27DSRL this past October. Had it out once before we had to winterize it. Loved it! Can't wait for spring! We have a lot planned for it. There is also a White Hawk community within the forum. You will certainly enjoy it!!

HI.. Thanks all for the welcome.

We are pulling with a 16 Tundra. It pulls it with no problem at all.. now we will be going over Eisenhower at some point this Summer so we'll see.
Its not that much heavier than our 19 foot, which presented no problem at all for us. So I am anticipating the same. For me its getting into some of the tighter spots we like to go. But cant wait to get it out and about.

Congratulations

We have the same one, only a 2016. We camp often with my niece and her family, who have the 2015 model. Love the floorplan and all the light that comes in. Added a puppy last year and found out if we removed one of the recliners, her crate fits perfectly in the space! Happy Camping!

Congratulations we have the 2015 model, towing it with our 1991 Ford Bronco. We've put a little over 6,000 miles on it and no problems to speak of yet. We put a Curt receiver hitch to carry the Yakima bike rack, a digital thermostat and a couple of USB ports to charge the phones but otherwise stock. Enjoy your new trailer.

Thanks much.. We have 3 dogs.. 2 middle aged Yellow Labs and an 8 month old Dutch Shepard.. *sigh*, hence the newer bigger trailer from our 19 FT.
Thanks for the hint on the crate.. that is exactly what I was going to try.. removing one of the chairs for the crate for the PUP. Good to hear that it works well!

Again thanks to all for the greeting and suggestions.
