Quick question...we were out for the last trip of the season (our 3rd trip ever) with our new trailer and noticed the slide does not work when not plugged in.

Should it? Not sure exactly what the battery should power.

I have a 2006 Jayco FBS and its slide works with fully charged deep cycle battery and its "unplugged" from shore power. Assume it works the same with your large size TT as well. With this in mind, is your TT's battery fully charged? Do other 12V items within your TT work while "unplugged" from shore power as well?

The slide SHOULD work, but it takes a lot of juice to operate. If your battery is weak, it probably doesn't have enough power to move the slide. That said, the battery should be ok since it's only your third trip. How old is the trailer? Do you do anything to keep the battery charged when it is not in use?

If you aren't able to plug the trailer in when using the slides, make sure it's plugged into the truck (with the truck running). That will help keep the voltage high enough for slides to work.

On my 32bhds my slide will work off my TT battery. Did you check the battery power or fuse?

How about the battery shut-off switch. I have one in the front pass-thru storage compartment near the curb side door. Factory installed. Make sure that is in the "on" position. Off while stored.

Thanks you all for the responses. This forum is amazing! It is a brand new 25RKS so i'm assuming the battery should be good to go.

I will check the battery level and look for a shut off switch tonight and let you all know. Thanks again.
