No Brakes!
My Prodigy started showing prety much all its codes on the way back from a recent campout, culminating in an oL code. Overload. Fortunately, the over hundred mile trip was primarily uphill. I thought it might be the connection between the TV and TT. Took it to our local horse trailer dealer and friends. Jerry found that a clip had come loose and had rubbed through the ground wire.
Nearest dealer is over a hundred miles away, so even though I'm still in warranty, I had them fix it. In so doing he discovered that the brakes were loaded with grease. Either the factory or the dealer had pumped way too much grease into the zerks. Got those cleaned up. Won't need to pack or grease for a goodly time.
I'm going to contact Jayco Monday and see if they'll work with me on a reimbursement of some sort, as coming out of the mountains down to the flatland with only truck brakes and the PacBrake would be foolish. Total bill was only $130, and that included some time on a nonrelated matter.
Anyone had a similar brake problem or similar reimbursement effort?

Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do. Whether Jayco reimburses you for your necessary expenses to correct their defective trailer assembly, you took the action you had to to keep you and other members of the driving public safe.
That said, of course Jayco should reimburse you. If not, they are either saying
1) that you should drive an unsafe trailer
2) that you should have spent the night -- at Jayco's expense -- to enable a wait to get Jayco's approval to get the trailer fixed
Will they pay? Maybe. Tell them that members of your forum would like to know, too.

Usually to get reimbursed for it you have to get preauthorization.... but Jayco seems pretty good about these things

Craig, glad you found the problem and things are good to go now. Could be a little scary coming down rt 87 from Payson to Phoenix. Ernie

The brakes on our Eagle were also full of grease. It cost us $1100 to get it fixed. Jayco reimbursed us four months later. The dealer didn't just clean things up they changed everything including the springs.

I'm optomistic. Called today and was asked to email bill and vin and an explanation. I believe the lady understood the risk, the foolishness of driving to a dealer. Ute Pass drops from 9k to 6.5. Don't want to do that on my truck breakes, even with the PacBrake. I'm home now and will do that tomorrow. Hope the receipt scans.
Eleven hundred, Wow! I was getting braking action before the short, but on just the short trip home yesterday after the repair, I could tell the difference.
