No shore power

Hi Guys,

I am camping with hookups. Had electricity when arrived, but probably used too much at a time: electric kettle, water heater.... And suddenly lost shore power. Checked and reset pedestal breakers and fuses in TT. No luck.

Fortunately, have enough batteries...

Have magnum 2800 and progressive industries surge protector showing 122, 0A, 60H, E0.

Is there anything in the trailer to reset? Or check?

Thanks!

Has to be either the main breaker in your unit or a loose plug at the surge protector.

Many breakers that are tripped to the 'off' position have to be 'reset' by pushing them further to the 'off' position and then back to the 'on' position. Just moving the lever from 'off' to 'on' doesn't reset them and the circuit isn't actually turned on. It's an easy thing to try.

Can you plug in something at the pole to be sure there is power there?*

EDIT: Oops! I see your surge protector is showing power at the pole.

From the reading you cited on your PI EMS it seems it is seeing 122 volts, but nothing else. Very odd. Is it a hard-wired model or a plug-in? If a plug-in try taking it out and see if you have power to your rig. If hard-wired, more troubleshooting is indicated.

Good luck!

That's because the EMS is working, but with no load since there is no power at the trailer.

Ems is hard-wired. Another thing I just noticed is that the tristar charger remote shows "night" and seems not to pump any Ah from solar panels. The sun is up and should work already.

So, I pushed a small white button on magnum not knowing what I am doing. Nothing happened. I restarted the system and it is working!

Tristar still shows night, but hopefully I will figure out later.

Thank you guys!

I'm a professional IT guy and that's pretty much what I do at work - just jab at buttons until things start working.

I mean, they wouldn't put a button there, if it wasn't supposed to get pressed at some point, right?

I misread his original post, I thought he hd no frequency either. That would have been odd!
