No water

Trying to fill the water tank! I have water to the camper via city water hookup but then there is no water going into the tank!? I've taken both fittings off the top and bottom of the water tank and there's nothing coming out of them!? There's about 3-4ft of tube between the water tank and the outside hookup! What gives?!?!

If I remember correctly when using the city water connection it does not fill the water tank, you have to use the gravity fill opening.

A little more information would be very helpful. Model of RV, 3 or 4 feet of hose where? What fittings? As Sundancer said you probably can't fill your fresh water tank from the city water connection.

You will have a separate fill for the water tank. It may be close to the city waterhook up and be a pull out fill.

City water needs no FW tank and no pump.
Pressure provided by City Water pressure.

If you open a faucet, you shouldn't run out of water. Use away :-)

Well I guess I worded that wrong! Not the water tank the water from the hose goes into the water heater tank then through the system and the hot water tank is not filling.

Sounds like the water heater is in the bypass position from winter.

The hot water tank is not in bypass mode. I've opened everything up for it. I've owned the camper since 2012 and now I'm having this issue!

I took the hoses off the hot water tank and opens the valves and nothing comes out of the hoses. It's really odd.

Do you have cold water at the faucet? If you put water in your fresh water tanks will the hot water heater fill?

I have no hot or cold water at the faucet. It doesn't even sound like anything is happening. I've never had water in the fresh water tank. The camper was purchesed from a dealer and brought directly to the lot I rent at the campground. I've hooked it up every year before and just turned it on and it works!

It may be difficult for some (me) to advise as the information leads to different directions.
If you are only using city water, the fresh water tank usually has its own fill, not the city water connection. On my TT it's on the other side of the trailer from the city water connection.

I would suggest eliminating variables.

Connect water to the city connection and try any of the faucets. Got water? OK, Done.

No water, try putting some water in the FW tank from its fill point. Follow the 3-4 feet of hose from the tank. Turn the pump on. Got Water? Then the pipes are OK, and it has to do with the city water connection.
No water, the plumbing system has a bigger problem, maybe a valve turned off somewhere.
As soon as you get ant water, check both sides pf the faucets separately. That'll help to make sure hot and cold sides are functional.
If you had to function on the FW tank until you get the issue resolved, at least you could camp till the city connection is resolved.
