No water from the tank, but city water works?

I had to replace a valve at the water heater (thread located here: http://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f7...tml#post312362)

I replace the water heater hot valve and the bypass valve while I was in there. To test it, I hooked it up to city water and everything seemed to work. I did turn on my water pump too (no water in the tank) as I didn't realize I don't need to run that when using city water.

Now, I filled the tank and the pump runs, but no water anywhere. I don't have any leaks anywhere that I can see (when I've got the city water running) so I don't believe I have a crack in a line. I confirmed I have water at the pump inlet (I could suck on the hose and get water), but I have nothing coming out of the water pump outlet. The pump just runs.

Did I ruin the pump?

Do you have to change a valve configuration to use the pump.

Do you have water in the fresh tank?

The pump should not be on when pressurized city water is connected. My first thought is there is a valve configuration wrong.

I used my trailer Memorial weekend and pump worked fine. Valve configuration is the same that came from the factory. I do have water in the tank, it's full.

I did run the pump when I had it hooked to city water....then I realized I didn't need the pump on!

Do you have an antifreeze line? If so stick that in a bucket of water and see if your pump will pull water out of that.
