Now THAT'S how you pull a 154BH!

Finally got the chance to get my hitch shank inverted so the ball was low enough (23.5" from the ground - verified accurate by Jayco support phone line).

We won't talk about what towing this thing does to my gas mileage, but it sure is super easy to pull!

Nice looking set up! Looks like the trailer is just a bit nose down which I've found with my 195RB Baja provides the best tow. Mileage is what it is when your pulling a vertical sheet of plywood down the highway....

I...love...that...truck. DW doesn't care for pickups. I think I need to be alone for a moment.

If it is nose down it's ever so slightly, and are those weight distribution bars a royal PITA to get on, even WITH the cheater bar. I may have to lower the attachment points on the frame of the trailer just a tad.

It took some convincing to get my wife on board with the idea of a pickup at all, let alone the Raptor. Had to fly from CA to NY to get it because all the dealers in CA and any state touching it wanted $25K OVER MSRP. Picked it up and drove it home.

The pictures do not do the truck justice - you have to see the truck in person. Wife's face when she saw it for the first time was one of utter disgust. LOL!

Did you follow the instructions to set the position of rear brackets? You might want to recheck the installation. Lowering those brackets will reduce the tension on the bars which reduces the weight transferred to the front of the TV which may or may not be the right thing to do.

After latching the ball, do you use the tongue jack to raise the tongue (and the rear of the truck)? If not, give that a try. If you already do that, try using the tongue jack to raise the tongue a bit further.

I've had a 'larger' Equalizer brand (1k/10k) hitch for over 10yr and never need to use the cheater bar.

Couldn't you pull the axle off and set it in the bed?

Thx for the tips, but yes, raising the tongue jack made almost zero difference. The brackets on the trailer frame were previously set for my (much lower) 2013 Honda Odyssey. When I said I need to lower them, it's because I'm now towing with a much different vehicle.

Orlando but since you like road trips...
We're big Jeep fans and our current Gecko Wrangler Unlimited has been our favorite of many. That said, blue is my favorite color. I work at MCO and see a lot of vehicles in the garages - those trucks just jump out from the crowd.

It did the same to me - when I quoted the OP I was able to copy the link in another window. See if this one works:

I am surprised you even using a WDH with that little trailer on that truck.

I too am a Jeep fan, last 3 vehicles have been a Jeep. With the need for more room and additional POWAH, I shifted to a new to me 2014 F150.

WHOA'M'GOSH....what an upgrade.

I am sure with the Raptor, you have not stopped smiling since you picked it up in NY. Introduce the wife to the back seat... probably the size of the back of the Element

Check out these guys... truly enjoying those Raptors. https://youtu.be/9mxf6wiblhM
