One more newbie question, thank you!
I filled up the fresh water tank last night thinking we were going to dry camp it tonight at a nearby lake.
We aren't going now (weather), but may go next weekend.
Is it ok to leave the tank full until then? Or do I need to drain it?

You should be fine for a week or two. After two weeks I make sure my tanks (including water heater) are drained.
Have you sanitize the tank and lines yet? If not, you may get a bit of residue taste from the manufacturing processes.

+1 on both points.
If you leave any water in those new lines, it will taste/smell BAD.

Newbie questions are always welcome, we were all nubies at one time and were still learning, that's just part of the reason were here now( like every day).

Welcome to the forum!
I would be a good idea to sanitize.
Other than that, I leave water in the tank, except when I winterize.

Hi DangerDave! We were Newbies not to long ago, too. We'll be RVing for three years this spring. If you plan to drink the water in your lines, you should sanitize. And you probably wouldn't want that water sitting in your tanks for too long. Think about how long you would let drinking water sit in a glass before you dump it to get something fresh. If you don't plan to drink it, I would be Ok with letting it sit for a while. We bring drinking water in gallons or fill up at the campground. We don't drink the water from our tanks.
Just like everyone here, I'm happy to help with any additional questions. I'm not an expert, but I've covered lots of ground and learned lots of newbie stuff in the past couple of years. -Chris www.cuontheroad.net

Newbie questions often lead to new information for us semi-newbies.

Thank you all for the friendly and insightful replies. Very interesting. I knew there was a reason we bought a Jayco.

Yeah, me too but most new things I learn are things I learned last week and forgot.
