One more week!

One more week until my campground opens down cape cod! We can't wait to finally spend some time in our new 38fdds that was delivered down there a few weeks ago. I installed vent covers, new mattress, connected the water and sewerage. All our stuff has been moved in over the past two weekends and we're ready to go. I tested all systems again yesterday including heat, hot water, lighting, slides, awning and all appliances.

The only issue I found was it appears that the outside hot/cold on the shower was plumbed backwards. All other plumbing is correct. I'll address that once the season starts, or not. I may just leave it the way it is depending on the fix after I fully assess plumbing access . It's not a big deal IMO. After a few weeks and we shake everything out, I'll report it to my dealer.

What kind of mattress did you get and which one did you replace?

Ditched the Denver that came with the rig, replaced it with an 11" Brentwood homes memory gel mattress. We had the 'short RV' queen in our prior trailer and we loved it, so I picked up another full queen for the new trailer.

Wow that's definitely not cheap. How does it sleep?

Not cheap, but not outrageous either. American made with 25 yr warranty. Well worth the money if you like a med-firm foam. I think it retails for less than the silly Denver mattress.

True, I wish the Denver mattress was more comfortable. I guess if you can afford a 40 fter, a nice mattress isn't much skin off your back

Cards are taking a beating getting all my new accessories. I figure I might as well get what I need now. I'll catch up!
