Smile Ordering this Saturday?

Hi everyone, I'm being told that I should order this weekend my 32IBTS to be sure to have it by May 1st. I really don't like the fact of it being towed through all this snow we have until April in some past years. Do you think the dealer is right? Thanks.

I MIGHT follow the dealers advice with the understanding that they would store the unit, at no additional cost, until YOU are ready to take posession. That should give everyone time to make sure your new unit is ready when you are.

It took 13 weeks from order to delivery to the dealer for my unit. I ordered last October. I would go ahead and order it, and as Lolead said, make an agreement with the dealer to store it. It may come sooner rather than later, but I wouldn't want to miss a trip because I am still waiting for my new trailer.

Very likely the dealer has an order going in and they can add something your considering to ensure delivery and preferred pricing. I'd follow his reccomendation

I ordered last Saturday and was told 6 weeks to take delivery in PA. That would be mid March. I expect it to take 8 weeks, or the beginning of April. It would have to take 12 weeks to build to delay it until May. I really hope it doesn't take that long.

I wouldn't be worried about towing in the snow. I towed in the snow to Florida last February and was fine.

I ordered mine today, was told 6-8 weeks. This is with picking it up in Indiana, I'm purchasing from a dealer a mile and a half from Jayco. Also, I asked them about 2015 vs 2016. They told me any orders prior to April 1st would still be 2015. Hope that helps.

My dealer called me last fall and said that Jaco was fixing to start a run in November and that if we wanted our camper for Spring, then for us to go ahead and order it. We ordered late Nov/early Dec and were told about 8 weeks. Was delivered in 6. And they kept it till we could pick it up the end of Jan. So, I'd go w/ wheat the dealer advises.

We ordered our unit on Jan 12th and our dealer called last week to say it is scheduled to leave Jayco on Feb 28th.
Our dealer is also storing our unit until our spring trip!

we ordered out on feb 1st 2014 and it came in towards the middle of april and was wrong inside.. the interior décor wasn't what we had ordered.. so the tried to find one going down the line that was close to what we wanted and put a slip in for the changes... second one came in about may 5th and still had things different than we ordered but we went on and took it because we had 3 days before our first camping trip to prepare and load it ... I would order it as soon as you can just in case

We told our dealer when we wanted delivery, gave him a down payment, and left it up to him when to order it from Jayco. We signed for it in December, they ordered it in March and it was ready for us the end of April as we requested.

I dont think the dealer is exaggerating your getting
close to camping season. I live in upstate NY too I ordered my camper in september 2014 and it was off season, it took until january 2015 for mine to come in.. I think 8-12 weeks is more realistic

Thanks, I did sign the paperwork so now the waiting begins. I hope it doesn't take 12 weeks! There goes my hopes of it being a 2016, but atleast this way I don't have to worry about changes.

We ordered ours around January 15th. Am really hoping that we see it by the beginning of April. Does anyone know if there is a way to find our when your trailer is expected to run? Waiting is the hardest part.

Your dealer should be able to tell you the exact week of production. Ours found this out prior to the order being placed.

Looks like our unit will ship on 3/5 a few days later than planned.

I have to give all of y'all props for having the patience to wait out an order.

I couldn't do it. I searched local inventory and found what I wanted already built.

I know what you mean but it's easier to wait when you have 18" of snow on the ground!
