Outdoor kitchen camping refrigerator.

Looking to see what anyone use to make sure the door on the outdoor kitchen refrigerator stays closed during travel? Ideas and pictures greatly appreciated.

Not an issue for our outdoor kitchen, plus we changed the key-lock to the combo version. However, for your refrigerator door issue, I'd go the Velcro (adhesive on one side) route as shown in this example.

Maybe a refrigerator child safety lock? There are lots of different kinds available in lots of stores and online.

Thanks everyone. Gonna try the safety 1st appliance latch for refrigerator. It's black. So matches better. Although I really did like the munchkin latches.

Someone had said they don't have a problem with the outdoor fridge opening during travel? Am I doing something wrong when loading? Do you unload fridge? Take things off front door? Just curious. Figured I ask.

Our outdoor kitchen fridge and microwave run only on electric, not propane, so generally in transit the fridge is empty. IF we have hookups, great; OTHERWISE at the destination we treat it more like an icebox (blue-ice blocks or frozen water jugs). It holds beverages only, all food is inside the TT.

Ours is the same way. We keep the beverages in there. Soda, bottled water and 2 liters.

I did this and put the latch on the bottom corner and it works great! I load up, pre-chill and stuff it on the outbound so nothing moves. Once at my location and plugged in everything is still cold. This is strickly a beverage holder for us and no perishables.

When it's in storage I put the strap end in between the door and seal to keep it open and prevent mildew. I would suggest a damp rid in the ODK as this area is sealed tight and has a sink which can bring in moisture.
