HA! I finally installed a dimmer switch on the awning lights, and it works beautifully. It took me fifteen days and ten minutes to do it - ten days to get the dimmer from Amazon, five days of "getting around to it", and ten minutes at halftime of the Penn State game Saturday to install it.

I was lucky because the wiring enters the trailer just inside a wardrobe beside the bed so I could semi-easily get to it and could locate the switch inside. The wires are behind a crappy little panel screwed into the wall and the hardest part was trying to hold the wires in place while holding the panel in place while screwing the panel back up. I needed a third arm, which I don't have.

Thanks for everyone's help. Soooooo much better now.
