Pad under roof CTV antenna?

Hey guys-
I conditioned my rubber roof today, and was curious if anyone makes/uses a pad between the roof antenna (ctv) and the rubber. This is my 3rd TT and I've never had an issue with it, but ice always been curious. Since his is my first new camper I'm thinking this may be a good idea?

Thanks for your thoughts.

I put a 2inch square of Eternabond tape under the 3 pads that it rests on.
