PDI Accomplished--Mods, personal upgrades begun

We completed our PDI today on our 2017 Jayflight 28BHBE. Only one minor issue with the vertical molding on the slide had a dime size spot rubbed down to the white paper backing. They took pictures and are working to get a new strip.

We got the trailer home and I have already completed:
-EMS HW50C installed
-Digital thermostat installed
-Under sink water filtration installed
-Maxx Air II installed
-Oxygenics shower head installed
-Key ring holder added
-Screen door pull bars added
-Installed 'wired circulation fan inside fridge

The wife has already put back all the bedding, kitchen/bath ware stuff etc.

Tomorrow's list:
-floor covering under bunk area
-floor covering front storage
-mounting clips/straps for all the cranks, hoses etc
-mount under trailer 6" PVC outdoor carpet holder
-build wall frame to finish storage separation wall under queen bed.
-build/create shoe cubbies for under queen bed on both sides
-whatever else the wife thinks off.

All I can say so far we love the new trailer.

Sounds like some great work so far. We have just purchased our rig as well and I have begun some mini-mods.

What digital thermostat did you install? I hate not knowing the inside temp or what temp I actually have the thermostat set too.

Thanks,

Brian

I installed the Coleman Mach 8330-3862 Air Conditioner Thermostat Single Stage Heat/Cool Digital, Black. There is also a version in white. It varies in price so search to find the best price.

Awesome. I bought the same TT about a month ago. Looks like you're off to an excellent start. I am still learning all of these "mods" and how they are beneficial. I've done a couple, but it looks like there are A LOT more going on the list.

How tight is the outdoor carpet in the 6" pvc? I was about to make a shelf like in front compartment of my 2017 28BHBE and put the carpet under it and everything else on top of it.

I like the idea of the 6" pvc if it won't be a struggle to put it in each time.

I was also going to do the wall mod to separate storage under bed. Are you using 1/2" ply? I wouldn't think it needs much. Just something to separate it from storage area in front.

What's the "floor covering"? It's already got the vinyl. Are you talking about those interlocking rubber mats?

Which oxygenics shower head did you get?

Which under sink filtration system did you get?

Thanks for your reply!

That's quite a list of upgrades...you have been busy. When you do have some time any chance you could take some pictures.
thanks,
John

Tednwv,

I fold the carpet in half and roll it up and is slides into the PVC pipe pretty easy. I store the stakes in the tube also.

As far as the shower head I bought the Oxygenics Body Spa Handheld Shower Kit. They have it in white and brushed nickel. You can get it off of Amazon.

The water filter is just a simple one from Walmart. It is the 3M Filtrete Under-Sink Advanced Water Filtration System. I just used the fittings they provided and had to purchase a few more to plumb it in. I just disconnect it during the winterization process
