Permanent Site!!!

Good Morning!!! Hubby and I have found us a permanent site and we are loving it!!! Got it set up last weekend and we are heading back there today after work. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to decorate the outside and make it look more homey? Should we do some underpinning or lattice boards around it? Any suggestions are appreciated as we are still fairly new to camping, only bought it last year, and not alot of cash this summer to do alot but we want to make it look good and inviting.

From the minimalist: Don't go overboard. A flag or 2. Quiet skirting.


Most importantly, keep the lawn mowed.


Take the time each year to plant pretty annuals...

Check the rules at the park before you do anything to make sure it's ok with them. Just because the neighbors did it, doesn't make it right. Trust me, the new people always catch the wrath. Are you a seasonal at a campground or did you buy your property? We were seasonals for years and actually bought our property last year. What a difference knowing when I am done paying next year it's OURS.

The landlord does all the mowing and yard work. I think we could buy a site if we wanted to. He has sold a few others there. Thanks for the input.

We only have one experience in a park where most were seasonal or year around renters, fairly fancy, I'd say. I was a bit surprise at how nicely folks decorated. Lots of Christmas light at Christmas, quite a bit of exterior lighting, decorations, some a little hokey, even in front of high end rigs. It seemed everyone felt like having fun with decor. So I'd do whatever wouldn't make me feel too out of place. And within house rules.

Just curious...why did you decide to stay in one place permanently ? I would think, if surveyed, most RV'ers would choose to travel and see different areas. Know we all have the right to make our own choices....just curious.

And as a follow up question to the OP, did you consider any of the DST or bungalow park models?
