Plumbing schematics
We havE A 2015 28BHBE that seems to have a leak when I pressurize the black tank flush. I had dealer warranty work done this winter and dealer winterized it back. No other water issues with it this weekend. I can see the water lines from under the bunk. But it goes into the trailer from the rear to the front. It is angled upward as it goes between the bunk wall and shower. This is where the water was coming from as it sprayed all snide the rear storage. It seems to me that the line should angel downward to the black tank.

Black tank flush line is on left

See how it angles upward
Am I wrong in my thinking? Thoughts??

First and only thought I had, is if you are keeping your dump valve open when you are applying pressure to the black tank flush 'port'. I know you are supposed to, and I'd imagine it's probably to prevent leaks in that system, but I don't honestly know. Just throwing that idea out there.

I Also have a 28BHBE. There is usually a backflow check valve in the black tank flush line. They have a habit of leaking. (I have been lucky so far and have had no leaks. Mine is also exposed in the bunk storage area.) I would crawl in there and take a few pics behind that little wall to see what I could see. If mine decides to leaks this year I will just remove it and join the lines together. Good luck tracking down the leak.
Happy Camping

It could just be a loose threaded fitting where that pipe connects to the valve. That happened to be on another rig.
Someone will have to actually find where the water is coming from. It should not be hard to fix and in the meantime, go camping and just don't use the black tank flush till fixed.
Somehow we got along without the built in flush for many many years.

Thanks all. Yes, luckily I can carry on with no black tank flush, but I'd like to have the thing working. I just dont know how to get between the bunk walk and shower wall where the line is pointed. I'll get it figured out one of these days before I sell it.

that sucks. Personally, I would see if you can pull the pip up and secure it to the wall were the elbow is at. It looks like a great low point for water to collect, freeze, and bust a pipe.
I would recommend staying at a full hookup site. Open the black tank drain turn on the flush water, then investigate the leak location, all while a lot of water is being flushed down the drain. I suspect the fitting at the wall or the elbow is the problem.

Thanks. When I saw it leaking, it was spraying out the line somewhere behind the wall. And it had some pressure behind it. I don't even think it was hooked up to to black tank.

The reason you are supposed to keep the black dump valve open when using the black tank flush isn't because of pressure build up. Keep in mind that there is a vent going to the roof. The issue is that if you hook up the black flush and get distracted you might forget it is on. Once the tank is full it will eventually start backing up and flooding the toilet in the bathroom.
So, you can run the flush with the dump valve closed, in fact it works better to build up a little more water in there to clean it out. I would set an alarm on your phone to remind you to shut it off in 5-10 minutes depending on tank size though just in case you get distracted.
The recommendation is there for liability reasons like a lot of things. If they didn't put it in writing then someone would flood their bathroom with sewage and blame the manufacturer because they didn't tell them to not overfill the black tank.

I'm guessing that it's a check valve gone bad because these are the symptoms (at least for me it was). There should be a panel somewhere that will give you access to the little bugger and it's not always a large panel. Mine was just large enough to get one hand down in. I know some guys have eliminated them completely then use a check valve on the hose to do the same thing. However, once it's sold the new owners may not be aware of this so, probably best to replace it. Don't want that "stuff" backing up into fresh water lines
Jayco should be able to tell you where it is located if you email them the question along with your VIN.

That makes sense to me. Add one more sticker on the camper I can ignore I've never used the flush when I wasn't at the dump station anyway, actively 'dumping' so there's really zero chance I'd ever overflow the tank. I just assumed it was a pressure related issue.

On the 2018 White Hawk 27br there are two gray holding tanks and dump handels
One handle is next to the Black Water dump valve..... the other is mounted under the slide out in the mid-ship area..... Is the mid-ship valve for the Galley tank and the rear mounted for the bathroom, shower and sink? And...... which is tank 1 on the control center and which is 2?
