Pop Up Let Us Down

Even though I'm the new owner of a 2015 Jayco Jay Series 1207UD I spent the first night of my 4 day camping birthday weekend for the big 5-0 in a hotel about 10 miles from the golf and rv resort where my new trailer spent the evening without me.
When we arrived at the campground at 9pm, approx 3 hours from home the roof to the camping trailer, pop-up, fold down, softside, tent trailer, whatever you want to call it wouldn't rise to the occasion. The lift mechanism would not function nor was there anyway to manually raise it.
We contacted the road side assistance and they were not able to help us beyond the telephone trouble shooting that they provided us. Even they couldn't offer solution on how to raise the roof. We could not reach Jayco, and we have been unable to get assistance and feel stranded.
What do I do now, 3 hours from home and only 6 hours into my 4 day vacation for my 50th birthday?
Hopefully someone can help me with this...
Unfortunately it appears the coupling between the motor/manual lift and the screw rod has failed. The motor spins freely and the rod doesn't turn. Is it correct to say the manual lift connection is on the back of the motor? But please share any ideas or suggestions. They will be greatly appreciated.

Can't really help too much as I am not familiar with the PUP's. I would walk around and look for someone who has a PUP and ask them to help. Almost all campers are willing to lend a hand if you need it. Also ask the front desk if they know of a traveling technician or even if their on-site maintenance person can help.

Thank you so much for the reply. Every camper and child in the park tried to help us. With regards to contacting a technician we were told by the road side assistance provider that it had to be Jayco authorized or we risked voiding our warranty.

Sure sounds like a blown fuse, or bad connection. Have to ask the obvious, is the battery fully charged?

Also right from the manual you can lift it manually:

Power Lift system (if so
equipped)
Press the key FOB
continuously to raise the
roof OR press the power
roof switches located just
inside the entrance door.
Both switches must be
pressed at the same time
for the roof to operate.

Manual Override for Power Lift:

If the Power Lift system fails to operate,
the roof can still be raised by operating
the lift system with an electric drill inserted
into the access hole located at the rear of the trailer

The Greyhawks come with one year of roadside service from Coach-Net. Do Jayco towables come with anything like that?

Yes, our 2015 Jay Flight came with one year roadside assistance.
Rita, welcome to the forum. Hopefully, Grumpy's advice helped you get the pop-up raised. If not, check on RV itch forum. They have a forum just for pop-ups. Hope that helps. rvitch.com

We had a similar problem with our FR pop-up. The lug for the manual crank mechanism fell off with the rest of its gear. Turned out that on the other side of the motor (which we eventually replaced) there was another nut, with which we could raise the roof by hand. We had to take the motor cover off to see it, though.
