portable surge protectors

I think this has bee dicussed before, however I didn't find it. I am looking at a EMS-PT30X from camping world and a camco 55301 on ebay, has anyone had issues with either?

Had that model for 2 years with the HTT we owned. When we traded for the 5th I had to get a 50A and decided on a hard-wired version, still a Progressive Industries unit tho. I'm a fan of PI.

I have both the 30A and 50A portable units from Progressive Industries and have zero complaints. Both have saved me a couple of times. I don't know anything about the Camco unit you referenced, but my recommendation is EMS over surge protector

We have the camco 55301 and ae pleased with ir. We are newbies with a half dozen excursions with our first TT this year. Hell, we didn't even know we needed a surge protector till we read this forum.
I hear good things about the PI, but if you ask about about inverter generators, the Yamaha and Honda are the only choices. We bought a champion and are well pleased with it.
My point is, I am sure the PI is a better unit, but the camco has been perfectly satisfactory in our admittedly limited experience.

I have the Trc Surge Guard 34830 30 Amp Surge Guard Portable with LCD Display. It saved my trailer from both overvoltage (156 volts) and under voltage (78 volts)Once in the same afternoon and other voltage spikes several other times from campground pedestal boxes.

Our first EMS-PT30X did not work the first time we used it. Thankfully, the rv park we were at had stable power. Progressive Industries replaced it without any questions. They produce a good product and have good customer service.

I have the Camco 55312. I bought it off of Amazon and it's worked well so far (bought it earlier this year and have used it about a half dozen times.)

I have this same Surge Protector, but it is not an EMS (cost around $300). I have thus far been fortunate to never have an electrical issue but am feeling I may need to go to the EMS just in case - see below link:
