I would go ahead and get a handful of those 30A fuses. Or replace the fuse with a circuit breaker.
I only popped mine a couple times before I learned where to stop the jack. Also, don't reverse directions quickly, that's been known to pop the fuse as well.
I don't worry about this any more though, my new jack has built-in protection AND a manual reset circuit breaker. That was one of my favorite upgrades to the trailer.
