Purchasing a discontinued model?

What do you all think about purchasing a discontinued model. The 29RLDS is not in the 2014 Flight offerings and not sure if they had problems with it or it just did not sell? Can I negotiate a better deal on a discontinued model?

The only problem with buying a discontinued model is that you won't be able to replace it after you fall in love with it and some moron totals it for you.

X2. We bought a discontinued 2004 29 RLTS, and love it. We hope to keep it for a long time, but as McFarmall notes, one can never be sure.

I bought a 23j that has also been discontinued...I love the camper but if I decide to get a new model or if someone totals it for us we can't get a new one any longer. I have had NO problems getting parts or having service done to it.

If you like it, buy it. They offer new floorplans and discontinue old ones every year across their TT and FW lineup. I think its more based on sales and what is trending then problems causing a floorplan to be discontinued.

We bought a 2014 Eagle 298 RLDS and love it. We like you just found out they discontinued the floor plan. We will enjoy it while we have it. We traded in a 2011 flight 26RLS for the Eagle, love the extra room and storage. No worries from us.

They probably didn't sell as well as some of the larger floor plans. The 32 RLS is very close to it. We didn't want any larger than the one we have. It fits perfectly in our side yard.

Sooner or later we will all be in discontinued models.

I don't think there are very many unique parts on any given floor plan. There shouldn't be any problems getting replacement parts. If you like a discontinued model I'd say buy it while you have the chance.
