Question about shore power

Newbie question here. When you plug into shore power does it charge the camper battery or do you have to charge it manually witb a battery buddy or other means?

Thanks

Joe

Yes, you do charge the battery when the TT is plugged in. It takes a while to charge the battery. I have been told that the camper will not fully charge the battery, but I do not have any facts to prove or disprove this.

Yours is a newer camper and should have a converter with a 3 stage charger. It will fully charge and maintain your battery properly.

Re: Question about shore power

Thank you for the response. I looked all over in the manual I got when we purchased the trailer but it doesn't say, at least that I could find.

You should have received a bag with OEM manuals in it for all the items not manufactured by Jayco like the Power Center, awning, toilet, etc..... Mine has the manual for the Progresive Dynamics charger, yours should too, or similar.
Not everything is in the owners manual as the tend to be for multiple trailer models, (i.e. generic).

Does the fuse (beside the battery) have to be in to charge the battery?

Yes, if your talking about charging via the TT's charger. No if charging with an external charger.
