Question Question about the 2015 Jay Flight 24FBS

There is a used 2015 for sale at a local Jayco dealer. It is loaded including the Elite package. It's listed for $16K and change.

Anyone have this model. How do you like it? Any short comings? What are the positives?

It certainly has a fair amount of room inside.

We have a '16 rbs which is the fbs replacement for 2016 I was told. We love it! Perfect size for our family of three plus one rambunctious Weim puppy.
Only small negative is the counter space is limited but it's not a big deal to us.

My in laws have the 15 fbs and love theirs as well. It is actually what inspired us to buy ours.

We bought ours off the lot without the elite package for 18k. In laws with the elite package paid 21k I believe.

We just traded out 2015 19RD elite for 2016 24RBS with elite package. Our first trip was last weekend and we loved it. Much more living area and counter space then the 19RD. Also pleased with the storage configuration and outdoor kitchen. We are empty nesters, so it is just the two of us and two small dogs.

Thanks for the replies so far. It certainly seemed to be a decent size for us.

We purchased a 2016 24 FBS last fall. It does not have the Elite package but it does have the ladder, larger AC, thermal package, and aluminum rims. We love it! Most of the time it is just the two of us and a small dog...but recently we took a short 4 day trip to Traverse City and my daughter, husband, baby, and their small dog came along! Yep! We all fit inside! And amazingly, it worked out fine. Wouldn't want to do it all the time but it did work! (I bought memory foam for the dinette bed.) We had friends that had bought the 2015 24 FBS and they loved theirs...so we went and looked at them...and we loved the floor plan as well. Love the closet in the bathroom and that the couch looks straight on to the TV. We have no regrets except wish the Elite package had been available...we found ours after they discontinued that floorplan.

We have a '15 24FBS and love it. The floor plan is perfect and the size is great. We enjoy all the features and have not had any problems.

We have a new 2016 24RBS with full Elite & Thermal package (paid $23K). Just the two of us and the 2 dogs (Labradoodle and Boston Terrior). Our first trip was a few weeks ago to a close-by state park for initial shakedown. Weather was unusually hot (near 100!). The AC worked great!! Trailer is very comfortable for Grandpa, Granny & the girls. Suggestion - in hot weather bring a box fan. Helps with the cool air circulation.

The only issues so far:

1) Grandpa and Granny are bigguns and the queen bed was designed for 300 lbs total weight (for 2 adults?? seriously??) Installed additional support after reviewing JOF for ideas (apparently this is a VERY common issue) Also added a 4 inch tempurpedic topper. OMG! Our trailer sleeps as nice (or better?) than our bed at home. Isn't that why we buy a TT in the first place? For a good night's sleep when camping?

2) Had an issue with the DV3200 player - DVD would not fully insert. The fix - pull the unit and check for and remove the red strap on the top of the unit that says "remove before installation".

Our next trip is in 3 weeks to Manitou Springs (2 hour drive) for a 4 day weekend. Aside from the minor issues, we LOVE our 24RBS! And it tows very easily behind my 2008 F-150 FX4 with full tow package. Planning to get up to North CO / Wyoming this fall and check out the heater and thermal package.

We also have a 2015 Jayco 24 FBS and love it. The only issue that I have is getting the thing to un couple. That has been a night mare

Same here - try applying hitch ball lube - it helps.

At least you know that your trailer stays hitched

Pretty much what everyone has already said. We love ours. DW wishes she had more counter space. Same issue with the hitch. Great unit

We have '15 model. Left Texas on 6/22 to Canada with 2 adults and 2 dogs and left Canada with 4 adults and 2 dogs. Still making our way home. The table/bed and couch/bed is perfect for Asian size. Only down side is they have to wake up when we do!
