Quick question on fading top front cap 2014

I took in my TT today for fading front cap. I was told to get it fix they remove the hole front cap n replace it with a new one from the factory. They don't paint or clearcoat the old one. its cheaper to order a new one. My question to you who have gotten this done is, do they peel it off and then glue the new one in, or its hole completed panel. I have sandwich type sides. I should have asked ha....

I'll be calling tomorrow. You guys think its better to remove the hole front panel or leave it alone and deal with it myself? I'm kinda worried if the job will be done right. What would you guys do ?? Advise would help.

Had my 2014 W Hawk done in May. After Jayco approved the repair under warrantee, they stripped the cap, repainted, and applied new decals. Looks great. The paint was an automotive type with a bright clear coat. The dealer was in Bowling Green KY located right next to the Corvette plant. The tech who did most of the work use to do pinstriping and decals on the Corvettes.

The fade problem apparently stems from a bad pigment used in the paint during the 2-13 and 2-14 period on a number of different models and manufacturers.

Very happy with the fix.

Jayco repainted ours. I went to the "Jayco.com" scrolled down to contact us and explained what I wanted. In a couple hours they emailed me saying they would take care of it.

It took them a while to accept responsibility for the fad issue, but the good news is that they did. Approached the right way, I have found Jayco to be responsive and fair in dealing with warrantee issues and problems. Not the same dismal experience I had with my previous Keystone TT.
