Radio comes on by itself

I have a jay flight 195rb and the radio goes on all by itself. Anyone else have this problem?

Welcome to the forum!

Is there a timer that's been set?

There is an alarm clock function that is easy to accidentally arm.

The manual doesn't help much.

Mine doesn't turn on magically, but if you're watching a DVD and flip on the fan in the bathroom it will blue screen, and won't start working again until you power the radio off and on. It almost seems like these Furrion radios are trash.

Mine reacts to the channel up and down of the television remote
It comes on. Sometimes loud. I'm ready to yank wires

Have the same unit as you.

Also, some of these radios have weather warning system. If NOAA(?) issues a warning the radio will come on automagically so you can be wide awake when the lightning hits and the tornado takes you...
Pretty sure there is an option to turn this off if your unit has it. Check the manual, available online if you don't already have it.

I have my own warning system. It calls me husband.

But there is no option to turn it off.

Last weekend we were watching a dvd before bed, turned it off and went to sleep. Woke up groggy at 3am and heard "someone" playing their radio. Ugh really? Short time later hubby got up and realized our radio was playing on the outside speakers. Oops.

No idea how it happened but we're finding the Furrion difficult and quirky to say the least!

My Jensen has come on randomly from time to time. I've checked all the above including weather and alarms. I did notice though that if I secure power to it and turn the power back on, it'll come on. Could be a spike in the power or temporary power loss. I always leave mine on blue tooth when it's off so it doesn't blast me out when it comes on.

As others have said, 1st check to see if the alarm was accidentally set.

I ran into this with the radio in my current trailer. It's a Jensen radio. Anyway, the radio kept coming on. I'd cut it off, and next day, the radio would be back on.

It finally dawned on me about the alarm. I cleared the alarm and no more radio coming on. I had accidentally set the alarm one day.

Replacement

Just call Furrion directly. Ours wouldn't come on at all. They just sent us a new one to install. They were great to work with.

I never ever use my radio so I just unwired it. No more issues with that sucker.

Yes, same problem of radio coming on randomly. Temporarily pulled it out until I have time to deal with it.
