Range Vent

Would any one know how to open the outside vent for the range hood, I have tried pulling down on the tabs, pulling out, pushing up with no luck I don't want to tug on them to hard as to break them, thanks.

Can't remember if it's down or up, but they are very hard to unlatch.

Use your thumbs and push up and out. [Towards you]. They'll eventually snap open and it gets easier each time you do it. I was scared to death about breaking them on my unit but I was persistent.

Push up and out. Try a little silicone spray the first few times.

On ours, one side is easier than the other. So I open that side first and then run my fingers under the flap to the other side, while pushing up on the tab with my other hand. It snaps right open. It's not a very good design, IMHO, and the one on our old hybrid with the tabs that turned to hold the flap in place, worked much better.

Success, up and out it is but man they are tight, same here one side is harder than the other and our previous trailer was the same with the tabs you turn, thanks for the great advice it was much appreciated.

Ours were super hard too and one tab broke off. The cover was replaced under warranty the other day and the replacement works much easier. The installation of this one seems better too which may be why it's easier to open.
