Refrigerator Question

Getting ready to take off to the beach, while whipping down the back of my refrigerator from outside the RV I noticed a white drain hose. It has a plug on the end so it does not drain. Is it suppose to be plugged or unplugged?

That plug has tiny holes to let the water drain and also keep the bugs out.

Thank You, I just went out and cleaned out the holes, I think it must have been plugged because the tray doesn't look like it has any water in it at all, it was very dusty.

That hose on most campers sticks out thru the vent and drains outside the RV

That hose is a condensate drain from the inside of the fridge. The end of the hose should sit inside the black tray. The heat generated from the gas absorption fridge inside the chimney should be enough to evaporate the little bit of water that collects in the tray. You should check that little black plug a couple times a year to make sure it isn't plugged.
