Remote control operation pauses.

Hi, when I use my remote control to put out slides and stabilizers they start then stop, waits a few seconds then starts again. But when I push the hard wired switches to each one there is no starting and stoping.
What's going on here.

Mine started doing this recently
I think it might be the batteries getting low

Does it stop right away after the button is pressed or do the slides go half way before it stops

Mine does the same thing. Changed out the batteries. Don't think it made much difference.

My hard wire switches are no problem. It must be the remote has a safety and it overheats just after a few seconds. I'll watch it and when for something major ill get them to replace.

Mine did the same when I tried to extend for packing for this weekend. Changed the battery, one 23A. Works great now.

It is called a 23A 12 volt battery, mine uses only one. It is about 2/3 of the size an AAA battery. My remote only has 9 buttons. On/Off, Extend, Retract, Main slide, Slide #2, Porch Light, Front Jack, Rear Jack, And Awning. Most stores carry them. Sometimes it is labeled 21/23 battery. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the battery info. I need to replace mine and I keep forgetting to look at what battery type is needed. Like the rest of you, my remote seems to pause at times also. I thought maybe it was a range thing since it's done it since day 1. It's still handy because I can pretty much do everything from outside, like extending the slide and making sure it's not coming in contact with anything.

Now if I could find something to keep it in place... the dang Velcro didn't last 6 months before it came loose. ;(

I have found that the signal looses strength when being held due to the power in the remote weakening. If you can locate the mother board try staying within sight of it and see if the remote still performs the same way.

Where you will really run into issues is on the Schwintek slides stopping and going again. This will throw then out of sync for sure.

I barely use my remote for the slides as a result of the inconsistency. Strictly landing gear and stabilizers.

Our remote does the same thing. I'm sure that the range and low battery are the most common culprits. I just put up with it. Our receiver is in the basement behind the rear wall on the door-side. There is a removable "hatch" near the floor. The receiver has no batteries but runs off the house 12V. Our receiver also has an antenna that's basically just an insulated wire, perhaps reorienting it would help.
