removing bunk beds

has anyone taken out the bunks to make more living/storage space? i'm thinking of the 154bh and removing the bottom bunk to make a little living/storage area. i haven't seen one yet but saw a coachman clipper 16b and the way its bottom bunk flips up and i wonder if the floor underneath the bunk of the jayco is about the same.

to best of my knowledge, yes you can do that.
it is all storage under the bottom bunk anyway, you can see the floor under the bed through the outside storage door (under the rear window)

I sure it can be done just be aware that you may ruin your chance of reselling it as a BH model if you remove a bunk.

Keep the removed parts and you can convert back. Many full timers remover the bunks for the added storage. Buddy's wife looked at mine and said "I can make a walk-in closet"
