Replacing a skylight

I own a Jayco Jay Flight SLX 2015 287BHSW. The skylight got damaged and needs to be replaced. I believe I have the Magnum Truss roof and would like to know if anyone has any helpful hints for me before I get started such as type of rubber membrane it has, type of caulk to use, what do I use to remove the old caulk, can I walk on the roof? Anything else that I need to know so I don't make matters worse. Thanks

Yes, you can walk on roof.
Dicor sealant
Can use a hair dryer or heat gun to soften old caulk, just be careful not to get roof membrane too warm.
Carefully use a putty knife to remove old caulk best you can.

Remove old skylight (probably flange screws), install new and caulk with Dicor or Eternabond tape.

I used Dycor self leveling lap sealant and noticed air bubbles in the rubber around the entire skylight near the caulk. I'm hearing this is normal to just leave it alone and they'll go away. It's been over 24 hours and some of the bubbles have gone away so hopefully this is true.

Can I heat the self leveling caulk around roof items and smooth it out? I want to reinforce the caulk with Etearnabond but the edge of the sealant is almost 1/4 inch thick with an almost straight drop off to the roof.

I don't see a way to get a good bond with no bubbles under the tape on the edge between the roof and sealant.

I agree with what doug said but I will also advise to replace the screws with stainless steel screws. When I replaced mine, the screws were rusty.

I eternabonded my roof this spring. I did not shave the old caulk. U do have air bubbles under the eternabond at the caulking. I just made sure I had a good, level, even bond at the outer edges.
