Have a 22' ultra lite. Anyone ever swap out couch for recliners. Couch/bed is in slide.

I just made the exact change you are considering. We had a jacknife sofa which just wasn't comfortable or useful for our needs. I installed the Thomas Payne dual recliners made by Lippert. Much more suited to our use and REALLY COMFORTABLE!
It was a very easy mod...literally took about 30 minutes total. Removed ten screws to get the sofa out and then set the recliners in place. I do not currently have the recliners fastened in place, but not sure if I need to. I think their weight holds them just fine.
The only aspect I wish could have been different is that I wanted to get the center armrest with the cup holders. Unfortunately I only have 60" to work with.

Was your couch located in a slide?

Yes, the sofa and the dinette are both located in the slide of my unit.

I want to swap my jack-knife for a tri-fold sleeper. Did you have trouble getting either in/out of the door?

No issues at all in my case. The jack-knife folds flat, so that was not a problem and the recliners came in two pieces each. The whole job literally took 30 minutes using my one man crew.

Replacing Couch

This is in my 27DSRL. Replaced couch with La-Z-Boy recliner loveseat with console. To make room, I took one bench out of the dinette setup. We only have 2 travelers so don't need 2 benches.

I also moved the dinette to the rear of the slideout and the loveseat to the front. With the swingout arm I installed on the tv, tv viewing is better than having the couch at the rear of the slideout. Just some ideas to consider.

I wish I had thought of rearranging! It's tough to see the TV from the couch now, and I just finished rebuilding the dinette Sunday(it exploded on the way home from our last trip.

Looking to upgrade

We have a 2016 Jayco 267BHWS and in lieu of trading in we are looking to make slight upgrades to things we don't like. First is our couch, but I can't figure out where to buy a new one, what the dimensions are, how to replace it and what (if any) weight limits there are. Looking for a reclining sofa if possible.

The other upgrade we would like is to add two small windows to the slide out to give us more of a 180' view like the newer models (is this a good idea or create leaks down the road).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Before pulling the trigger check under the sofa. I think I recall our X23B had furnace or ducting and slide mechanism under it which would have limited what could be installed. Under the sofa in our 5th there was nothing. The large sofa came up easy and fit thru the door with no issues. The replacement theater seating (Thomas Payne) has been excellent.

Our 2011 has windows on all 3 sides of the slide. No leak problems if properly installed, but on ours with sliding windows they can't be open when it's raining because water running off the slide tops will drain into the interior. I would not consider a conventual type window because of the possibility of leaving them open when the slide is closed. Once we learned to close them when it rains, they have been very nice.

Look at reviews before you buy... the Recpro stuff kills Thomas Payne. I couldn't find much of anything negative. I went with Recpro and am very happy. It's in a big slide... and super comfortable!
