Rewiring a trailer harness

Does anyone know how to disconnect the power from the harness? I went to rewire thinking all the power would come from the truck but the wiring seems to be live.

If you are talking about power in the harness on the trailer side just disconnect one of the battery terminals and that will cut all power to the trailer.

Also make sure the shore power is disconnected.

thanks!

I ended up removing the Fuse to the batteries and this seemed to do the trick.
