roof leaks & anti sway bars

We're fairly new to RVing. Our 23' 2004 JayFlight has rusty brown streaks running down around the shower and above the bedroom window on the street/drivers side. What needs to be done to fix it?

Secondly, I lost one anti-sway bar. I checked with a nearby dealer to see if by chance anyone had turned one in. I had just had new SS clips installed and probably didn't get it seated correctly. To my surprise, miles from home, they handed me one they had found on their lot. The chain that tightened it was gone but otherwise it appeared to match my other one. However, my originals were 800lbs. and this one I noticed later was 1000lbs. I've made a few 90 mile trips and haven't noticed any problems. Am I waiting for a disaster to happen in the near future? I have added a safety chain to both bars so they can fall out of the socket but not down to the road again.

Hi Larry,

For your roof leaks you got to find out where the water is entering. Once you find it I highly recommend eternabond sealing tape. That will cure your leaking problem. Most likely if you look at your roof, you find the sealant around vents is cracked. You can clean the sealant up and put eternabond tape over it or get dicor self leveling lap sealant. Also pay close attention to the edge of the roof. You could have water intrusion there as well.

X2, you will need to get on the roof, clean it with dawn dish soap an water. While cleaning look for any cracks and bubles in the caulk. If you find any, you need to clean it, and reapply dicor. or use eternabond.

Can't help with the bar, but I would call the bar manufacture and ask them.
