The easy way (or lazy like me) to do it, if your TT has a 30 amp blade fuse by the battery, is to remove the fuse and with a meter that can measure amps, insert the meter probes into the fuse holder. Make sure you have shore power disconnected first, and a charged battery. Most meters will accept a 10 amp load.

Seriously, as long as your stuff is in good working order, I'd turn the fridge on and not worry about it. There are lots of things that could happen. That's why we have insurance....right?

Wow!! Concern about running your fridge for a night on propane/12V?? There is a reason that RV's have 2 way or 3 way fridges. Risk blowing up your RV because fridge is running on propane?? Come on now, there are hundreds of thousands of RVs doing exactly that on a regular basis and someone comes up with one incident of a unit blowing up.

If you have a weak or a battery that is near the end of its useful life, replace it. You don't need solar or a huge battery bank to run your RV overnight or for 3 or 4 days for that matter. All you need is a good battery. The fridge will run for several days on a tank of propane.

Rvs have equipment and features that are designed to be used. Enjoy.
