rv battery drainage

Just bought a new 2013 Whitehawk.....I parked it and everything worked fine.....I then went to pick it up and the battery was dead....so I charged it up via trickle charger it all seemed to work...I pulled one of the fuses so that the battery wouldn't drain(at least I hoped so) today I went to check on the RV and the battery was dead again.....I did some research and it talks about a battery disconnect but I have no idea where that is....
first question how does my battery drain so quickly

second where do I find the battery disconnect?

Any help would be appreciated

Welcome to the forum. How quickly did the battery die? Which fuse did you pull? Most trailers have constant drains from the LP/CO detector, radio and other items that will kill a battery in two weeks or less if not disconnected. Many units do not have disconnects from the factory and we have added them. Not sure if the Whitehawk has one or not, perhaps an owner will chime in.

I pulled the negative fuse...and it drained in about a week thanks for your reply

Did yours come with a built in battery disconnect? Battery disconnects come in all shapes and sizes but here is a picture of what i have installed on mine. I just use it when not plugged in to shore power when storing.

These battery switches are very popular among the RV'ers... These have removable key to keep small kids from being inquisitive. These are also installed with all terminal out of sight and reach for safe battery terminal connections... These can be installed in the lid of the battery case...

Check your antenna booster for the tv. Its located in the cabinet under the tv. I always forget to turn mine off.

If your battery was fully charged and your removed a fuse in the negative battery lead and the battery is dead in two weeks then the battery is bad.

I bet you removed the fuse at the converter didn't you? You need to remove the fuse at the batter positive. Should be a 30A fuse there right on the positive wire. No fuse on the negative except in the converter.
