I have a small safe that takes a key in my truck. It fits under the seat and is secured with a cable that wraps around one of the seat supports.. it is small. I won't get into what's in it, but you can probably figure that out [emoji4]

I would say try and get creative.
As you hinted to, does't matter what you use they won't slow a determined person down much so the more creative you can get with hiding it the better. If they can't find it they can't open it. So I would avoid common places like for those that have a 5th wheel to hide it in the wardrobe in the bedroom up front. If you have under bed storage I would avoid that. The wardrobe is normally where the factory will install one if they have that option and one of the first places someone would check. The bed probably second.
Our camper has the optional trifold sleeper sofa. If you don't know how they work it is kind of tricky to open up and has some storage under it. That might be a good place for a small safe. Secure it through the safe to the floor rather than a cable lock type system. Then cover it with linen as this is a good place to store extra blankets and such. We also have panels in storage locations that could be converted so they appear to be screwed in place but are easier to remove. I am thinking under the stove is one as is under the kitchen and bath sinks.
Of course the other aspect is what are you intending to store in it? My wife doesn't wear jewelry when we go camping so not that. Under the sofa isn't a good place if it is a defensive device storage application as well as the rear bathroom. Are you looking for fire resistant storage or tamper resistant? We normally just go out on weekends so really we don't have a need for a safe but that is us. There are plenty of full timers that could benefit from it. You have to balance accessibility with protection. You can come up with a great hiding spot but if it is such a pain to use that you never bother to use it if you are going in there twice a day.

I have a small book safe at the house in the den. You'd never know it.
Wait...

This I can tell ya, if I were to stumble across a safe in an RV, I wouldn't even think of taking it. For what reason would I? You'll never open the darn thing. jmo

Here is an old post from started in 2012.
I have thought about adding a safe, but I have made/found a few hidden compartments that can hid many items in, up to the size of a large purse. I doubt thief would ever find these spots.

X2!
Stealth will be your best defense.
A simple key-locked box, hidden deep will be more than adequate for in-season security.
While stored? Forget leaving anything valuable.

I have a Gun-Vault bio safe in my trailer. GVB 1000 | GunVault
I've had it for a long time-- has an alarm in case it is tampered with, and it has two lag bolt locations. You'd have to know where to look to find it because I have it hidden behind a false wall.

I always thought a false door in the floor of one of the closets or cabinets would be neat place for a small safe... My POPUP trailer is really high ground clearance. I've told folks I could setup a hammock under my trailer and take a snooze hehe...
Like everyone else we talk to says the best is to just store your real valuables in your truck...
My truck has the combo door so all of us can get in out real real easy...
If you got to go in one of those locked boxes for protection in the trailer then it would probably be at the wrong time and place when you needed it...

I'd hate for this thread to get shut down, and the mods all know where I stand on this subject, so I will just observe.
