Sanitizing the water system.
Hello,
We have a 2 64BHW that we purchased a year ago. We love it so far. I plan on sanitizing the tank this spring before I take it out and was wondering how most people do it. I was going to fill it up with the sanitizing solution and let it sit overnight. But draining it is my question. Is it better to pump the whole tank into the waste tanks and then dump normally or use the little spigot on the fresh tank?

I like doing it by opening up all both sinks so the sanitizer solution makes it's way through all the pipes too. I usually drain to the gray/black tanks and then dump normally. The little drain takes forever to drain.

I add a cup of bleach to my full fresh water holding tank, let it sit overnight , then go for a ride for a few minutes then open all faucets and shower heads and let them run a minute or two and then drain the fresh water tank. I then refill my fresh water tank and run all faucets and shower heads until I can not smell the bleach.

I add sanitizer to the tank and then use that water (with the pump) to flush the antifreeze out of all of the lines through the spigots. Refill with clean water and flush it again.

+1
Except when I'm draining, I open the drains and faucets. And it still takes forever...
Don't forget to rinse at least once.

H2O2 rocket fuel, hydrogen peroxide, cheap and no smells, drain it into your waste tanks to clean them too.

If never use water for drinking , only using for bath, and cleaning dishes, should we still do sanitizing ?

Yes. Do you want to bathe and especially clean dishes in unsanitary water?

Though time and resource consuming, it's not difficult. So I would do it anyway. We use RO water exclusively for drinking and cooking, but then I have a child, and you never know what will end up in his mouth, so I try to keep things as clean as possible within reason.

Yes. You need to keep growing 'things' under control. You really don't want your FW tanks to be full of swamp water.
