Short term storage question

We are taking delivery of our 27DSRL in May. Will need to store it in our local storage lot due to living in a condo. I am wondering about the battery. Do you disconnect the battery cable when not used to prevent the battery from going down? May put a camera on the back and I uderstand it is on all the time. Would expect this to pull down the battery too.

Not sure this trailer a shut off switch.

Thanks.

Steve

Our personal preference is pull the battery out, and put it down cellar on a tender. That may not be an option for all, but eliminates parasitic drain, and theft.

Connect the camera to your clearance lights. Have to drive with the parking lights on, but no biggie that is how they are factory wired.

If you are comfortable leaving the battery on the camper while in storage, then YES, you will need to disconnect it. Many of us install master disconnect switches. If you are concerned about theft, as most who store in "secure" storage are, you will want to pull the battery off when you park the camper.

I leave the battery in the camper all summer long. I installed a cut-off switch that eliminates all parasitic draw. Pretty much stays fully charged. I remove it in winter and its kept on a battery minder.

Best advice is to install a battery cut off switch regardless. However, if you are going to pull the battery off, do yourself a favor and mark all the connectors with the terminal they came off from and also take a picture "before" you disconnect the battery.
