shower leaks through curtain
A while back I remember reading a few posts where owners had added a lip of some kind to the top of their tub to keep water from running out when using the shower. I just searched for about thirty minutes and couldn't come up with anything. Does anyone else remember these threads? I'm looking to do this mod before our next trip in April, so any help finding them is appreciated!

We installed these with caulk last fall. They seem to work ok so far...

I had some of those, but one one side of my tub, the tub to wall isn't a 90° angle, so it wouldn't stay. The post I saw here used some type of molding and silicone (I think?) to hold it down. I am hoping to just find the details and then replicate it.

found this one -not sure how to copy his message..
I bought some sort of thin 1/8" wide adhesive strip that I ran along the top edge of the tub that cured the problem. Got it at Lowe's back in their bathroom/kitchen dept. Color matched pretty good, too.

I did that mod and posted. I went to Lowes and bought a 1/2" wide x 1/4" high strip of exterior vinly trim. I cut it so it was long enough, to slide under the bottom edge of the tub surround , and used adheisive to secure it to the top of te bath tub. So far after 2 years it is still holding.

Been out of pocket for a while, just getting back to this post. Shaner's post is the exact one I was thinking of. I like USMCs fix too... will have to go to Lowes this weekend and see what I can figure out.
USMC - what kind of adhesive did you use? Some kind of tape, or glue/silicon?

I had bought some of the angular thingies that you silicone at the two tub-wall junctions... but they soon fell off and water seemed to get in around the caulk anyway somehow...
then someone on here gave me the advice that solved the problem (Crabman?): Simply adjust the level of your trailer just ever-so-slightly so that water runs back towards the back wall of the tub. We do that every time now and not a drop is spilled out now--- and I am not exagerating.
Now I dont know why they just dont design or install them from the fasctory with that subtle slope to begin with or put a proper lip on the edge.
But anyway, I strongly suggest that you give this a try first. With your floorplan the trailer would need to be a hair lower at the tongue... whereas with mine I keep it a gnat's arse lower at the bumper and that's all it takes to solve it.

I used a waterproof adhesive applied with a caulking gun. I think the brand was liquid nails.

I've actually been doing this for a couple of years also and it does work very well. I just figured I would add in the molding as well for a double whammy!
