Silicone spray to slide seals question?
Do you spray inside and outside or just outside?

I use the specific slide seal conditioner and apply by spray then wipe with a disposable brush. The outside is what I only get due to the slides not liking to stop mid way on my unit. Can't hurt if you can get both.

Oh, I just bought heavy duty silicone spray from Walmart. I think this should work fine too.

Slide out gasket Spray
I use 303 on the rubber gaskets, and anything vinyl on truck or RV. Great stuff, little pricy, but last longer than silicone. Happy Camping, while we can before W I N T E R!

I use a 100% silicone spray on both sides of the seal. I spray the silicone onto a rag until it is wet and then wipe the seal, re-wetting the rag as needed. I think using a rag conserves the spray, is neater, and gets the seal clean.

I was told by my dealer the the slide seals never needed anything other than baby powder on them. I haven't heard that mentioned here though. Any thoughts?

Can you use any old silicone spray? I think I have "Liquid Wrench (Gunk) Heavy Duty Silicone Spray Lubricant". I use it for general purpose lube around the RV. Could I spray this on a shop towel (or whatever) and apply it to my seals? Or is there some specific silicone spray I should use?
I've been putting off buying a bottle of 303, but I keep adding things to the list that need to be treated, so I might not be able to hold off any longer. If this silicone spray I already have will work for the slide seals, I could hold off a bit longer...

100% Silicone only, no petroleum as it will swell the rubber and break it down. I have used 303, pure silicone and now the seal conditioner.

Thanks for the info! That makes sense, and I'm betting that spray has petroleum in it since it's primarily a lubricant. I guess I'll just be patient and wait for the 303.
Do you find the seal conditioner works better? Would you go back to using 303?

I don't know. The dealer gave me a can. The 303 goes on everything else vinyl, plastic and tires. 303 holds up well, but does streak after rains.
