Skylight size

Does anyone know the dimensions of the *rectangular* skylight in the new Jaycos? When I measured this past Fall it was ~ 14x28 or so I thought. I figured it was just a normal 14x14 doubled. My goal is to find or make an adapter so that I can replace that rectangular skylight with some kind of fan (hopefully a Maxx) but I'm not finding much at all via search and Google.

Thanks

DT

An email to Jayco Customer Service should produce an answer to your question;

I have tried contacting Jayco and weeks later no response. I have a 2015 26 bhs and need to replace the kitchen skylight on the roof. It is roughly 13"x33"
I want to get a stronger skylight with tint. Also not sure what sealant to use on the roof?

Anyone have a good skylight company or know what sealant I need?

It difficult to measure as the screws out is covered. I tried measuring from the screwheads and came up with 13"x33". I know this isn't exact.

Thanks for any help

This!! Jayco will send you a framing blueprint free of charge for your specific trailer. You'll have to provide the VIN and wait a bit but it's worth it. I'm going to add a vent and fan above my bedroom in our 28dsbh

Ok, thanks.

We had a lot of snow where I'm at by Lake Tahoe.
I was on the roof scrapping off snow and my delicate figure (250 lbs and 6'3") broke it like a twig when I stepped on it.

This is my first ever travel upgrade from a tent. It hasmaybe 1000 miles on it and two weeks of use. I have had so many trim issues (examples, above the slide trim has fallen off 3x, wall popped out, slide ripped up our flooring and was bubbling in multiple areas they had to put an entire new laminated flooring in the entire trailer, all of our cabinet doors are separating at the seams etc.

Is this normal?

Bret, I *think* my skylight is one of the 14"x22" versions. Google rv skylight 14x22 and see if what comes up looks close to what you have. I'm a little suspect of 33". Good luck.

I measured again, and again.
So dome size is 14" x 30"

Flange size is 17.5" x 33.5"

The flanges are buried in sealant, so this is as close as I can get w/o removing it.

Where did you get it from? Was it a difficult install.
Looks like they use a bucket of sealant. I watched a YouTube video and it's a small bead.

Thanks

I got mine from Amazon and here is my install video. The installation was not difficult as long as your are comfortable working with power tools. Amazon does have a skylight in their Warehouse Deals for $72 and you can't beat that price. It says it's used but it was probably just a returned item that was not ever installed.

Well, I think you are in luck, there are some 14x30 here.

So the original intent of this thread was to find an adapter to convert 14x22 to 14x14. Anyone seen that before?

This may be a little late, but I bought a replacement from Ebay. It was $43.99, and the guy makes them himself, I think in Texas. If you search "RV skylight", it's the one with the guy standing on a skylight. It's a perfect match to the original, and is already predrilled in the same spots. Comes in three colors, too.

Regarding the Lexan order from E-Z Tops, how did that work out? I can't believe I can't just easily get this part online, but since my broke I do want to upgrade to the Lexan material.
