We found topper was a stopgap solution. Went with the Sleep Number. Pricey but very nice.

Plenty of discussion on the forum about this issue. LOTS of solutions.

Personally, we added a 4" memory foam topper and it has worked as hbravo stated; a "stopgap". A pretty good one at that, but the OEM mattress underneath (Denver "pillow" top) is getting to the point where we're going to need a new one. If I were to decide right now today, I would get an 8" foam mattress from Amazon in "Short Queen" size and retain my topper.

While the Sleep Number is VERY highly recommended, we just don't spend enough time in the RV (unfortunately) to justify the purchase. If we spent more time, it would be right at the tippy top of my list of replacement options.

I graduated from sleeping on the ground, so it will probably be a couple years till I'm spoiled to the point of replacing mine. I'm going with the 'stop-gap' measure until then.

We went with a Brentwood 11" memory gel full size queen for our 2016 Jay Flight 38FDDS. They make a short rv version as well.
We never slept on the Denver. Just laying on it, we knew it had to go.

I'm over 350Lbs, I do not want to deal with a real mattress in our Hybrid (Stuck leaving it standing when packed up) and thus after trying everything, (4 Sleeping Bags, foam Interlock squares, Foam Mattress, Foam Topper, at various points and finally altogether to the point I was almost touching the tent End Ceiling)...I have finally come to the simple conclusion that My best sleep comes off the trusty old queen-size Air Mattress. It worked for 40 years before a HTT, why reinvent the camping wheel.

That's the 8" foam mattress I was referring to in my post. I also have the other one linked up there in my Amazon "wish list".
