Slide gasket maintenance
I just bought 2012 bhds and wondering how or if people care for their slide gaskets. I am in a seasonal site and leave the slide out from now to oct. I bought aerospace 303 to apply. I have also read that people use baby powder. What works best?

Pull the slide(s) in 6 inches and apply 303 from the inside of the trailer to the gasket with a sponge every 6 months.

Maybe I'm missing something here but 303 is a UV protectant so why apply it on the inside?

Yes, but it keeps the rubber compound from drying out and prevents sticking.

I've been using 303 protectant on everything on my trailer since new in 2003.

There are several 303 products. Which one do you use for the Slide Out Seals?

I use this one for everything, including the seals:

IMO best to purchase the stuff on-line by the gallon which is a lot more economical over time. I use it on my TT Filon outer sidewalls, TV tonneau cover, etc., works great! One gallon will last me a few years

Upon recommendation from others, I use silicone spray.

Silicon Spray
I've been using silicon spray since I got my first Jayco with a slideout in 1998. Works great. Put the little extension applicator in it and spray away. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
