Slide out lube

So I was looking at my slide out seals on the slide. Was wondering do you use anything on them to keep them plyable from drying out. They also make some nice black marks on the slides. does anyone know how to stop that. Thanks

RV stores all sell products just for that. It is usually a foam you spray on and let set a bit then wipe off. My dealer told me that those seals are pretty expensive to replace and that I should use a product to protect them. I bought a can last July, and use it 4 or 5 times a year and still have some left. I am sure amazon sell it as well. Here is one brand..

100% pure silicone spray has worked well for me to clean and lubricate rubber seals, as on slides and the rubber seals around doors in vehicles. I get a clean rag and spray the rag until damp and then wipe the seal. It cleans it and lubes it in one operation.

Don't forget that you have rubber seals on the inside of the trailer also.
