Slide Out Stabilizers

Anyone using slide out stabilizers, we have a Eagle 330 RLTS being delivered in the next two weeks (3 slides). What kind of stabilizers work best without damging slide mechanism? The ones I have found come in three adjustable lengths 16"-28", 21"-37" and 26"-47". Any suggestions?? As always.. Thanks in advance and Happy Camping!

Sorry guys, I searched and found previous response after I posted, I'll stick with some extra hydraulic jacks supporting the frame and see how it goes... Cheers!

I don't recommend any slide stabs at all. Trouble is if your camper settles when setup they may do more harm than good by possibly bending the slide mechanism.

Our sales person told us not to put anything under the slides and that they are self-supporting. I'll be interested to hear from others on this as I've been wondering that myself after realizing I'll have several teenagers sitting around the U-dinette.

Hey Diesel just picked up our new 2012 330RLTS and the dealer said exactly what CruizinKim said the slides are self contained and don't need any additional support.

Just because they sell the, does not mean you should use them.

I don't know of a trailer manufacturer that condones their use.

We are currently at a RV Park that has a lot of long term / permanent residents, have seen many of the RVs with Slide Out Stabilizer's under the slides.

Not for me as we have to use our slides when we move on.

I've had as many as 16 guests in my trailer, many in the slide out for a party. None the worse for the weight. If Jayco had said supports were needed, I would use them. Otherwise, I can only see harm from using them.
