Mine is controlled by a knob on the unit as well. It's on the ceiling panel. No real thermostat, just a knob that you turn to lower the temp. The fan on these (at least on mine) runs all the time that the unit is on so even though the compressor will come on and go off based on the temp, the fan keeps running. I didn't realize there was a different option when we purchased ours or think ahead and realize that my wife cannot reach the knob to change the temp. Net - I regret not getting the wall thermostat control, which also shuts the fan off and on like the AC in your home does. Gets annoying to have the fan run all the time the AC is on. It's on my upgrade list to install one. I believe there are threads on the forum on the parts/kits and how to do it.
